I am here for the mamas. The mamas who are busy, stressed, overwhelmed, and doing everything they can to raise amazing little people. It is an exhausting, selfless, gut wrenching, and often times thankless job. I know this because I am literally typing this about me section with a heap of laundry waiting to be folded/washed, sink full of dirty dishes, and floors in desperate need of goldendoodle, not so doodle, fur removal. Typing while simultaneously monitoring middle school math homework completion. Middle school, common core math homework. Sigh. I have both a B.S and M.Ed, in elementary education from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!), a few years of both public school and homeschool teaching under my belt, and this still proves challenging for me. As draining as this modern day mama gig can be, I wouldn’t trade it for any deserted white sand beach in the world. Even if it came with Jason Momoa serving me mai tais. That’s how big my love for my family is and that big love is what I love to capture for every family in front of my lens.

I know the work and unconditional love you pour into your family. I see it in your thriving children. I see it in all of the little ways you try to make their childhood magical and in all of the bigger ways you try to gently teach them the hard lessons of life. While real life isn’t always magical, I believe there absolutely is magic in every day life.

Some days it takes every ounce of your energy during a hectic morning to get everyone out the door on time with lunches made, homework signed, and at the very least, their teeth brushed. Forget magic, we’re just hanging on for dear life.
